Kali Linux is simple to install the following steps are followed correctly.

STEP 1:
Direct yourself to THIS website and download the version needed for your virtual box, Eg: if you use VirtualBox direct to the Kali Linux VirtualBox Images tab and download the file.

STEP 2:
Find the file you have downloaded, this will either be located in your downloads folder or at the bottom left hand side of chrome.

STEP 3:
Open VirtualBox and go to File then Import Appliance, on Import Appliance you’ll see a GUI display. You want to click on the Folder icon and direct to the kali linux file you downloaded.

You’ll then be displayed with another GUI telling you that it is installing, just wait that out.

STEP 4:
This is easily the hardest step because of the errors that can be caused, I will cover 2 of them. Double click on your Kali Linux virtual box that you have just installed so it boots. If it boots first try then skip to STEP 5 however. You may get an error saying that USB 2.0 is not supported.

ERROR 1:

If this is the case go to the Kali Linux settings.

And then to USB

Inside of USB you will see that USB 2.0 is checked, change it to USB 1.1 then OK.

ERROR 2:
Error 2 is solved in your BIOS, this error is that you don’t have Virtualization turned on, to fix this google how to access your computers BIOS and do so. When in the BIOS you could either look for Virtualization Technology or direct to your CPU settings and turn it on.
