Creating a username and password interface in visual basic is simple. Follow the guide below to create your own.
First you need to declare your variable by using this template:
Dim [variable_name] As [Data Type]
If you understand how to declare a variable copy out the code above changing the variable names to what you want them to be. (if you need help declaring a variable go to: Here)
This is what will be shown to the user when they is setting up their username and password. This allows the user to set their own username and password easily and without massive amounts of code. The only ‘code’ you need is ‘console.readline’. Follow the picture above and use the variables you set when you declared them.
This step is the loop. While the Boolean is set to false the loop will continue and the only way it will just out the loop is if the Boolean is set to true. This only occurs once the set username matches the entered username from the user. If the username is incorrect it will loop back to the beginning of the loop and ask for the username again. Follow the image above and change the variable names to the ones you set at the start.
Follow this code. It is the same code as the one above for the username but for the password instead. Follow this and change the variables accordingly.
